Whether you just want to improve your singing or prepare a song for a special event, an audition, or a competition, voice lessons with Juliana Schmidt can help you reach your vocal performance goals. Learning good vocal technique is important, and it can be fun!
“The voice is unique because it is an integral part of us – an instrument of our total being – and its improvement leads us to an expansion of personal qualities. The experience provides a richer and more sensitive feeling for life itself.” — Dr. Roy Schuessler

Expectations
Semester Commitment
In order to really see some progress in your vocal music skills, students should try lessons for at least a semester or a summer session. A semester runs approximately from September after Labor Day to just before the Christmas holidays, or from just after the New Year to the middle of May. Summer sessions run from early June to mid-August.
Vocal Literature/Repertoire
A variety of vocal music literature will be explored depending on your interests, and vocal performance needs. Music styles include classical, folk, jazz, popular, and music theater. Students are provided assigned music at no charge, or can bring in their own for study.
Performance Classes
Small recitals are scheduled every-other-month as an opportunity for students to perform in a friendly environment. Performing develops confidence. Students are encouraged, but not required, to perform.
